Tragaki

Our latest project is being developed at the charming village of Tragaki, on the eastern coast of Zante. Unspoilt by time or man, Tragaki is a haven yet to be discovered by the jostling tourist crowds.

Tragaki is a colourful setting filled with rich scents. Silver-green olive groves, lemon trees, vines and a fascinating variety of fragrant flowers and herbs on the gentle slopes of this area give way to an inviting sandy coast with crystalline waters.

Tucked away into this lush landscape is the picturesque settlement. Sparsely built quaint houses blend perfectly with their natural surroundings. Most are graced with a captivating view of the Ionian Sea. And yet this peaceful retreat is within easy access from key parts of the island.

Access

Tragaki is ideally situated only:
6 miles (10 km) from the island airport, 4 miles (6 km) from the port and capital town of Zakynthos, and 1 mile (1.5 km) from the beach of Tsilivi.

In the town of Zakynthos you can access all useful services provided for the public (bank, post office, hospital, etc.). Alternatively, the adjacent village of Tsilivi offers a wide range of amenities, efficiently combining quality services with leisure. There is also a petrol station and taxicabs to take you to other villages at low cost.

Leisure

Tragaki is ideal for those seeking to experience the quiet and relaxing traditional village life. During daytime, you can enjoy the sandy beach of the village and take a swim at the turquoise seawaters. Alternatively, you can set off for mountain hikes on the lovely-scented hillsides. On the way, you will exchange friendly greetings with hospitable village people.

Only a 25-minute walk away is the village of Tsilivi, the answer to those seeking further excitement. Deservedly, its large organised beach has been awarded the European Blue Flag for water quality, environmental information and education, environmental management, and safety and services. There, you can engage in a variety of water sports, beach volley and happenings, or use the 5x5 football field. Nightly entertainment involves unforgettable nights at the village bars and clubs.

If you feel hungry, fresh fish, house wine and local delicacies are always offered at the village’s restaurants and taverns. At mini markets you can find all necessary groceries and there is always hot bread at the bakery.
